英漢翻譯：常見詞英語巧譯

“愛好,喜歡,偏愛,寵愛,愛上了”等有如下譯法：

(1) 譯為enjoy,常與動名詞、名詞、代詞連用。例如：

他喜歡做游戲。

He enjoys playing games.

(2)譯為 take great enjoyment in。例如：

他極喜歡狩獵。

He takes great enjoyment in hunting.

(3) 譯為like,常與動名詞、不定式、名詞等連用，例如：

她妹妹喜歡吃零食。 Her younger sister likes taking (to

ake) snacks between meals // Her younger sister likes nibbling (to libble) between meals.

你喜歡怎么做就怎么做。Do as you like (please) (choose).

(4 )譯為liker.例如,

他是一個真正喜愛歐洲大陸的人。He is one of the true ikers of the Continent.

(5) 譯為 have a liking for.例如:

我更愛好法律。 1 have a greater liking for law.

(6) 譯為 take a liking to (或 for)。例如：

我一看到這部車子就喜歡上了.I took a liking to this car the minute (the second) (the moment) I saw it.

(7) 譯為to Sb’s liking,指“合某人的意思（胃口）”。例如：他辦事情的方式我根本不喜歡》 His way of doing things is

not at all to my liking.

(8) 譯為prefer,指比較喜歡(like better),后接介詞to,注意to前后詞類相同.例如：

我寧愿站希而不愿坐著。I prefer standing to sitting.

他說他喜歡水不喜歡牛奶.He says that he prefers water to milk.

prefer后接不定式時可與rather than連用•例如：

劉胡蘭在敵人面前寧死不屈。Liu Hu-lan preferred to die rather than give in (surrender).

(9) 譯為 in prcfcrcncc to, to 為介詞，例如：

我寧愿選擇這個而不要其他的。 I should choost this in preference to any other.

(10) 譯為 have a prcfcrcncc for。例如：

我們愛看文學(xué)書籍。 Wc have a prcfcrcncc for books on literature.
