英語(yǔ)翻譯名著的表達(dá)

In China, "the four masterpieces of literature" are deeply rooted in the hearts of Chinese people. At the end of last century, these works were filmed as TV series and welcomed by audiences. Now TV producers are set to re-shoot the plays.

在中國(guó)，“四大文學(xué)名著”深深植根于人們的心中。上世紀(jì)末，這些作品已被拍成電視劇，受到觀眾喜愛。而如今，電視制作者又致力于對(duì)名著進(jìn)行翻拍。

文中的re-shoot就是指“翻拍”，通常還可以說成remake或者re-produce。比如：

Fox is bringing "Romancing the Stone" to the big screen again, swinging into development a remake of the 1984 adventure movie and tapping Daniel McDermott to write it.

大家對(duì)the four masterpieces of literature（中國(guó)古代四大文學(xué)名著）一定不陌生，但你知道這四部名著的書名都怎么翻譯嗎？它們分別是Journey to the West（《西游記》）, A Dream of Red Mansions（《紅樓夢(mèng)》）, Water Margin（《水滸傳》）, the Three Kingdoms（《三國(guó)演義》）。其中《紅樓夢(mèng)》的翻譯有多個(gè)版本，有人認(rèn)為翻譯為the Story of the Stone最地道。
